Use the specifications below when preparing print-ready advertising files for Hinsdale Magazine Group publications. Ads must be submitted at the correct size and in the required format to avoid production delays or unintended resizing.

If your ad is not built to the correct dimensions, it may be adjusted to fit the designated space.

2-Page Spread Non-Bleed Ad

     14.75" W x 9.875" H
    White border on all sides. No bleeds.

2-Page Full-Bleed Ad

     Bleed Size: 16" W x 11.125" H
    Trim Size: 15.75" W x 10.875" H
    Live/Safe Area: 15.25" W x 10.375" H

     Text, logos, and important content must stay inside the live/safe area.

1-Page Ad Non-Bleed Ad

     6.875" W x 9.875" H
    White border on all sides. No bleeds.

1-Page Full-Bleed Ad

     Bleed Size: 8.125" W x 11.125" H
    Trim Size: 7.875" W x 10.875" H
    Live/Safe Area: 7.375" W x 10.375" H

     Text, logos, and important content must stay inside the live/safe area.

2/3 Page Vertical Ad

     4.67" W x 9.875" H
    No bleeds.

1/2 Page Horizontal Ad

     6.875" W x 4.8" H
    No bleeds.

1/2 Page Vertical Ad

     3.3" W x 9.875" H
    No bleeds.

1/3 Page Ad

     4.6" W x 4.8" H
    No bleeds.

1/4 Page Ad

     3.3" W x 4.8" H
    No bleeds.

Advertising copy and materials are due by the 10th of the month prior to publication.

Example: Materials for the March/April issue are due by February 10.

All ads must be: 

CMYK only

     Files must not contain RGB or other color modes.

High resolution

     All images should be at least 300 DPI to avoid print-quality issues.

Print-ready PDF files

     PDF files must be prepared correctly and built to the required ad dimensions.

Built to the exact ad size

     All ads must use the dimensions listed above.

Ads with Bleeds

For full-bleed ads, extend bleeds 0.125" on all sides.Keep all text, logos, and important content at least 0.50" inside the trim edge.  

Ads without Bleeds

For non-bleed ads, allow a 0.50" safe margin from the edge to help prevent text, logos, or important graphics from being cut off.  

Hinsdale Magazine Group is not responsible for PDF files prepared incorrectly, low-resolution images, incorrect color modes, or any text, logos, or important information placed outside the live/safe area that may be trimmed or cut off.

If submitted ads do not meet the required dimensions, the ads may be resized to fit the designated space.
